Enter alternate keyboard characters

This page is for devices with a physical keyboard.

Numbers and symbols are printed on the keys of your keyboard.

To enter one character: Press Alt, and then press the key.
To enter several: Press Alt twice to lock it. Press Alt again to unlock it.

Some keyboards have a Sym key too, for a second set of characters. It works the same way. On some keyboards you hold Alt or Sym down instead, because the keyboard itself handles those keys.

Checked against the LuneOS code and installed apps. Nobody has tried these steps by hand yet, so tell us if something differs.
