Read an ID card or passport
NFC isn't installed on every device. If there's no NFC app, your device doesn't offer it.
- Open NFC > ID / Passport. Make sure NFC is on.
- Enter the six-digit CAN printed on the document.
- Tap Read and hold the document steady against your device.
You see the Name, Document number, Nationality, Date of birth, and Date of expiry, and the photo if there is one.
Checked against the LuneOS code and installed apps. Nobody has tried these steps by hand yet, so tell us if something differs.
