Use another keyboard layout

To change the layout for good, see Customize Text Assist settings. Some layouts are for phones or tablets only.

To switch layout while you type:

1. Make sure more than one keyboard language is set up, so that the language key appears (learn how).
2. Press and hold the language key.
3. Tap a layout, such as Thumb or Dvorak. Tap LuneOS to go back to the standard layout.

The layouts on offer depend on the language. Nothing appears if the language has only the standard layout.
