Delete a message

Do one of the following:

• In the message list: Throw the message off the side of the screen.
• In an open message: Tap the trash icon at the bottom of the message.
• To delete more than one message at once: See Select several messages at once.

If Delete Confirmation is on, tap Delete to confirm (learn how).

Deleting a message moves it to your deleted items folder. Depending on your email account, this folder is called Deleted Items, Deleted, Trash, or something else. If you accidentally delete a message, you can move it back to the original folder (learn how).

To delete all messages from the deleted items folder: Open the folder > Menu > Empty Trash.
