Set up WhatsApp

You link your device to WhatsApp on another phone, so you need that phone with you.

1. Open Messaging > Menu (upper left) > Preferences & Accounts > Add An Account > tap WhatsApp.
2. Under PHONE NUMBER, enter your number in international format, such as +15551234567. If you like, enter a DISPLAY NAME.
3. Tap Sign In. A QR code appears, and sometimes a code to type in.
4. On your other phone, open WhatsApp > Settings > Linked Devices > Link a Device. Do one of the following: - Scan the QR code. - Tap Link with phone number instead and enter the code from your device.

Each code lasts a few seconds and refreshes by itself. If yours expires, tap Get a new code.
