Use Formula Style

In Formula Style, you enter the whole calculation first, and then see the result.

1. Open Calculator > Menu > Formula Style.
2. Enter the calculation, for example (2+3)*4.

Button	What it does
√	Square root. Enter the number, then tap ).
( and )	Group part of a calculation.
^	Raise to a power, for example 2^8.
x²	Square the number before it.
ln	Natural logarithm. Enter the number, then tap ).
log	Base-10 logarithm. Enter the number, then tap ).
/ and *	Divide and multiply.
Backspace arrow, beside the calculation	Delete the last character.
C	Clear the calculation and the result.
3. Tap =. The result appears above the calculation.

If the calculation can't be worked out, Invalid Input appears. Check that every ( has a matching ).

To go back: Menu > Traditional Style.
